Jake Stiffler, Zach King and Bobby Wilson combined to throw a 3 hit shutout over Akron Firestone on Senior Day at Waterworks on Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomore Dylan Grochowski drove in both runs with a successful double suicide squeeze in the 3rd inning scoring Teddy Nime from 3rd and Collin Stefen-Wallace streaked all the way home from second base beating the relay throw from first base back home.

Senior Zach King came in relief in the 3rd inning to throw 3 2/3 scoreless innings to record his second win of the season before giving way to Junior Bobby Wilson who came in to record the save getting the last out of the game with runners on first and third for Firestone by retiring the last batter on strikes.

The team ends the season with a 5-21 record and wish the best for seniors Alex Abernathy, Tristan Roberts and Zach King as they go off to college next fall. The coaching staff also wishes them well and thank them for all their hard work and effort the past four years in the Black Tigers baseball program.
