After picking up two early fouls, Junior Nick Hyder found himself on the bench for much of the first half. However, he was called upon with 1.8 seconds left in the 1st quarter to enter the game for a sideline out of bounds play while the Black Tigers trailed Nordonia 12-9. Hyder caught the ball in the corner and nailed the 3 as time expired. The Knight would open the 2nd quarter with a bucket to make it 14-12, but it was all Black Tigers after that as Hyder’s 3 started an 18-2 run. The Knights turned up the pressure in the 4th quarter, cutting the lead to 56-50 before Trinny Henderson iced the game with two free throws.

Henderson led in scoring with 19 points, while Brennen Guerin and Joey Sondles each chipped in career-highs of 16 and 10 points respectively. Isaiah Campbell and Zander Miller provided a defensive spark off the bench, and Campbell led the team in rebounds with 9.

The Black Tigers turn their attention to rival Stow, who will come to town Friday night for a Fresh/JV/V triple-header.
