Senior Zach King and Junior Landon Nagel combined to hold down the Stow offense in 11 innings Thursday afternoon as the boys scored two runs in the top of that inning for a 4-2 Suburban National conference victory.
Senior Tristan Roberts led the offense with 2 hits including an RBI single in the first inning and then scoring on a well executed double steal of home plate for the second run of the game. Stow came back with one in the bottom of the first and didn’t score again until they tied the game in the bottom of the 7th with a 2 out bloop single off King who struck out 4 and only gave up 2 hits on the day. Nagel entered the game then to get the 3rd out and held the Dogs scoreless the next 3 2/3 innings to gain his first victory of the year raising his record to 1-2.
The team is now 2-4 in conference play
