Good Afternoon Black Tiger Athletic Families,

As many of you know, Summit County moved from level red to the highest risk level, purple, yesterday on the Covid 19 Ohio Public Health Advisory System. With this change in advisory levels, Cuyahoga Falls City Schools made the decision to begin total remote learning in all buildings on Monday, November 30, 2020. Additionally, for the safety of our athletes, coaches and fans, Cuyahoga Falls City School District is making adjustments to their athletic practice and game schedules effective immediately.

Cuyahoga Falls City Schools has made the decision to pause all high school and middle school athletic events. With this pause in our athletic programs, come the following details:

  1. PRACTICE – High school teams will be allowed to continue training on Dec.8th. All middle school practices are on hold till at least December 21. We will continue to monitor the situation, and make changes when we feel necessary.
  2. GAMES – All high school and middle school games will stop immediately until further notice. At this time, the target restart date of Monday, January 4, 2021 will be used for the resumption of games for the high school and middle school winter sport teams. However, this date is subject to change based on the status of the virus in Summit and surrounding counties where games are played.

Any changes or updates to this plan will be communicated through the coaches, our athletic website, Twitter and/or an All Call message. During this very challenging year, it has been the philosophy of Cuyahoga Falls Schools to keep our athletic teams practicing and competing as long as it was safe for everyone, including coaches, players, parents, game staff and officials. The decision to hit the pause button for Cuyahoga Falls Athletics was a difficult one and not taken lightly. Our plan is to resume normal athletic activities as soon as it is safe for everyone involved. Stay safe, stay healthy!
